#10 Oklahoma Sooners vs. Texas Longhorns – 1993 – Football
Posted by: | CommentsThe 4-0 Oklahoma Sooners entered the 1993 Red River Rivalry rated 10th in the country. The Sooners would hold a 10-3 halftime lead, then set the cruise control in the second half, coasting to a 38-17 win led by senior quarterback Cale Gundy and the thunder & lighting tandem of freshman running backs Jerald Moore and James Allen. The 1993 Sooners would be called the 'Texas State Champs' for beating TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, and finally Texas Tech in the John Hancock Sun Bowl ending the year 9-3.
