NFL Latest Line and Spreads
When you turn on the ESPN or Sports Center to watch football during the fall or to hear about what the current point spread is you will now understand how the point spread is actually figured. The facts about the points spread will probably not surprise you because today unfortunately everything revolves around money, even the point spreads being figured.
.The odds makers that figure out the spreads will get their information on Sunday night and then after passing all of it on, then the betting starts for the up and coming games for that week. The odd makers will look at which teams will generate the best money profits and compare them to their opponents they are playing against that week, so it has nothing to do with the ability of the team it has to do with who will bring in more money.A few other factors that can come into play with the odd makers is where the game is held, which does not always mean that the home team will win.
Another component of the decision is the record of the teams, one team may be at the top of their division and they are playing a team that is ranked at or near the bottom of the division so this match up could be key to an upset in the making. One last factor in this process is what day of the week that the game is played on,
the games that are played on Monday night tend to have a higher betting percentage than the ones that are played on Sunday afternoon or evening.
Football fans usually have tail gate parties during the regular season games that are on the weekend but with the Monday Night Football games fans will not only have tail gate parties but they will also flock to the local bar or pub to watch their favorite teams play and in turn more betting is going on.NFL Football has a huge fan base and is only growing bigger year after year along with the betting between co-workers,friends and family, what a wonderful sport.

Is there a free website that has College Football spreads archived?
I would like to find a site that has previous years College Football pre-game point spreads archived. That would be great if there was a place that had the past 5 years of lines on games.

Place to find point spreads for college football?
I can’t seem to find it on ESPN or anywhere for that matter. I want to see which teams are favored and by how much. For example, I want to see what Florida is predicted to beat Tennessee by.

No algorithm, it’s all about money. The bookmakers set a spread and if they’re getting too much money on the team whose getting the points, they decrease the point spread to get more money in on the other team. Bookmakers want approximately equal amounts bet on both teams.
